How Our Network Works

Talk to a local provider

Who You Talk To

You talk to an independent HVAC provider. Not Gottavia Heating & Air. We are a referral service. We pass your request along. The provider takes it from there.

Each provider runs their own business. They set their own prices. They choose their own schedules. They do the work.

What Happens on the First Call

Expect a few simple questions:

  • What is wrong with the system?
  • How old is it?
  • What type is it: central AC, furnace, heat pump?
  • When did the trouble start?
  • Where is the home?

The provider may give a rough range over the phone. A real price usually needs a visit. Be wary of a firm number from a short chat.

What to Ask a Provider

Keep this list handy. Ask each question and listen for clear answers.

  • Is the quote in writing?
  • What does the price include? Parts? Labor? Disposal?
  • Is there a fee just to diagnose the problem?
  • Is repair or replacement the better move, and why?
  • What are my other options?
  • Do you hold the license my area requires?
  • Do you carry insurance?
  • Is there a warranty on parts or labor? Get the terms in writing.

Ask About Price Drivers

Typical U.S. ranges are wide. AC repair often runs $150 to $650. Furnace repair often runs $125 to $600. Replacement costs thousands. Ask what is pushing your number up or down. Part cost, system size and hard access all matter.

You Are in Control

You can say no. You can ask for time. You can get a second quote. Quote in writing, then decide.

A good provider will not rush you. If you feel pushed, step back. Some policies may cover sudden damage, so check your policy. Providers can often help document damage for a claim.
